An upgrade in lighting is needed along the roads to Maple Ridge and Oak Point. This project involves completing all of the ground work necessary for installing outdoor lamps along the road. Volunteers would trench in wire and pour concrete bases at designated points for the light poles along these two routes. There would also be opportunities to be involved in the actual installation of the posts and lights once the concrete is set.
Staining the Welcome Center and Maple Ridge
Volunteers have been working their way around camp each year doing building exterior re-staining projects. The buildings needing to be re-stained next are the Welcome Center and Maple Ridge. Volunteers will scrape and stain siding and trim.
In the last few years, we have lost several mature trees in wind storms. Use the $250 community impact card to purchase young shade trees and organize a crew to help plant them around our site.
Plan a Camp Scholarship Fundraiser
Help get kids to camp by throwing a camp scholarship fundraiser in your church or community. Assemble a team of volunteers to help bake cookies, cinnamon rolls, or other goodies that could be auctioned off to provide scholarship funds.
