Hands 2 Help
Volunteers are key to the ministry of Inspiration Point! Each year we rely on volunteers to help with us with special projects around camp we wouldn’t otherwise be able to accomplish. Hands 2 Help is a special opportunity for people of all ages and skills to get involved in the ministry of Inspiration Point.
What to expect…
Overnight guests can expect to have cozy accommodations for a good night’s rest. We will start the day off right with a quick devotional and a hearty breakfast each morning at 8:00 AM and will begin work projects following breakfast. We will be sure to have great fellowship as we take breaks throughout the day for a cup of coffee and lunch. Projects will wrap up by mid to late afternoon. Dinner will be served each evening (Monday-Friday) at 5:30 PM. Spend your evenings playing games in the dining room, shooting baskets in the gym or sitting around a campfire.
This spring we have extended our Hands 2 Help workday into a workweek. We understand that everyone’s schedule is different – come for an afternoon, a day or stay the whole week! Let us know when you will arrive and depart by filling out a registration form or by contacting our office at 218-998-4572. While this event is free to anyone willing to lend a helping hand, preregistration is required!

"At camp, I learned that through my storm’s God will be with me! I learned that God delights in me and now I can see that He delights in everyone else too! Because God loves me I should be able to lay down my life for others like He did for me." -9th Grader
Safety at Camp
A parent’s biggest concern is always safety – it’s ours too! Our first priority is keeping your child safe while they are in our care. The key to a safe environment at any camp is the staff.
In order to have the very best staff possible, we begin accepting summer staff applications in October. Starting the application process early in the year allows us more time to interview and screen applicants before making a decision to hire them. Each qualified applicant goes through a rigorous application process, must supply three references and undergo a background check before being interviewed for a summer staff position. Each summer, we spend over 130 hours teaching, training and preparing summer staffers for the 11 weeks of summer camp.
We recognize that Spitzer Lake is both our greatest asset and liability, because of this we go above and beyond industry standards in order to keep kids safe on the waterfront. Coast Guard approved life jackets are provided and are required for boating. Whenever children are present at the waterfront, lifeguards are on duty. In fact, over 1/3 of our summer staff are American Red Cross certified in First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguarding.
If you any questions about your child’s safety while at Inspiration Point, please feel free to contact us at email@example.com or call 218-998-4572!

“We brought middle schoolers for a day of team-building, and it was one of the best experiences we've ever had and most worthwhile of our time and money! Our students learned a great deal, and we, as their teachers, learned much about them too. We were very impressed with your staff, with the beautiful facilities and grounds, and with the activities.” -7th Grade Teacher
