Inspiration Point is excited to announce a brand-new opportunity! On September 1, 2021, IPoint will launch IPoint Interns, a one-year internship opportunity for up to four people. The mission of IPoint Interns is to provide teaching and practicum experience to young adults so they gain critical skills and understanding for life.
Interns will receive a $600/month stipend from Sept-May (plus room and board) and $800/month (plus room and board) in June-August. In addition, Interns will be given a 9-day guided tour of the Holy Land!! Because of the lifetime impact of an experience like this, Inspiration Point will invest in each intern in this manner. Note: If for some reason the trip is unable to happen, interns' salaries will be increased.
Interns will receive teaching and practice in:
Site & Facilities
Two words: Sweat Equity! You will put in hard work alongside our site and facilities crew to beautify the site and remove distractions. We will also teach valuable skills in facility care and how to properly use tools and equipment.
Have you ever wondered what goes into planning a retreat? You will come alongside the Program Team and be able to get a first-hand look of what it takes to bring a program from start to finish! You will be able to provide insight and ideas as we look to serve hundreds of campers during the year!
Financial Peace University
We will work together through the "Foundations in Personal Finance College Edition" so that you can have the skills to manage your money wisely. This course will set you up to make sound financial decisions for life.
You will spend time throughout the year working alongside our Food Service Manager to prepare meals for our guests and learn tips and tricks along the way. You will spend time cooking things you will cook for the rest of your life.
Camp Ministry and Guest Services
As an intern at IPoint, you will serve groups of all ages through the school year and summer! Interns will serve rental and retreat groups half of the weekends and serve our midweek groups September through May.
We know the value of serving, and we want to see you take advantage of this during your time with us. Our local churches are always looking for young adults who want to invest in the lives of their students. You will plug into one of these churches during the school year to serve on Wednesday nights.
Interns will also receive one-to-one, formal mentoring with a member of the year-round staff and will meet weekly for Bible study in preparation for and reflection of the trip to Israel. They will also take part in staff meetings, staff retreats, CCCA Sectional Conference, and Burger Flip.
