Camp was buzzing with energy yesterday as over 270 senior high campers moved into their cabins. Despite the heat, we were able to utilize the Barn for indoor recreation and the Worship Center for the opening gathering! After meeting their cabin leader and cabinmates, many enjoyed the tradition of making their own pizza, participating in HOOTENANNY by creating a cabin song, and ending the night at the campfire singing songs about our Savior! This week we are blessed to have Pastor Kirk Militzer pour into these students and lead them into intentional pursuit of the Lord through His Word by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Senior High students often come to camp experiencing a range of different emotions; excitement, anticipation, nerves, anxiety, and even uncertainty. The Lord knows each of them individually and has equipped our staff to come alongside each of these campers. Senior High campers are the group most seriously searching for truth, identity, and relationship, and we have the opportunity and atmosphere to present the truth of the Gospel to them! Through His Word we are excited to dig into all the questions big and small, and to walk alongside these students in whatever they may be going through. We invite you to pray that this week they would encounter Christ Himself, for we know that He is ready to embrace them this week and the rest of their lives as their friend, and good, good Father.

You can also pray that these campers would grow in friendship with one-another in their cabins, and in their relationship and knowledge of King Jesus. Stay tuned for more stories and photos; the Lord is going to do some amazing things this week in the hearts of these campers! He is faithful to do so every week!
