Year-round Staff

Every organization needs people to make it go, and these are the folks behind the scenes that make it all happen at Inspiration Point.

Greg Anderson

Greg arrived at Inspiration Point in 1990, serving as the director until 2015, and has since transitioned into the role of president. His primary responsibilities lie in the areas of strategic planning, organizational culture, and resource development. 

A graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, MN (B.A. German Education and Business Administration), Greg speaks around the country at churches, camps, and conferences on the topics of leadership and ministry to children, youth, and families. He currently serves on the board of directors for The Center for Parent/Youth Understanding, and has also served as Board Chair for Christian Camp and Conference Association.

He and his wife, Janet, live in Fergus Falls, MN.  They have two daughters and a son-in-law who also live in Fergus Falls. In addition to camp ministry, Greg also enjoys waterfowling and upland hunting, reading, music, travel, cheering on his family, conversations over a good cup of coffee, and watching baseball. His dream vacation would be to spend a summer traveling around the states to watch a major league baseball game in every stadium.

Janet Anderson
Ministries Director

Since September of 1990, Janet has served as the Program Director at Inspiration Point. This position involves planning, preparing, and implementing the events for summer camps as well as youth and adult retreats. She also manages the gift shop at Inspiration Point. Janet loves partnering in ministry with high school and college students who are fired up to serve the Lord! She also enjoys watching God bring His people one step closer to Jesus through their camp experiences at The Point! 

Janet loves leading music, giving the gift of God’s Word to campers and showing them how to use it, getting to know the many guests who come away to The Point, and sharing her life.

Family is also a huge part Janet’s of life. She will tell you that her husband, Greg, and daughters, Elise and Kara are all incredible gifts from God. They live in Fergus Falls, MN.

Simon Eggiman
Youth Ministries

Simon joined the year-round staff in January of 2017 as a member of the Program Team. He is responsible for planning youth retreats, as well as preparing events for our summer ministries. Before joining the year round staff, Simon served on summer staff for six years: three years on service corps and three years as a counselor. He also graduated from CheckPoint, Inspiration Point’s leadership and training program.


Simon grew up in Fargo, ND and graduated from NDSU with a degree in Strategic Communication. He spent his childhood summers going to Inspiration Point and loves seeing the growth that kids experience when they are at there. He loves reading, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Aaron Johnson
Site & Facilities

Aaron joined the year-round staff in September of 2016 as Site and Facilities Assistant. His responsibilities include grounds keeping, snow removal and general camp maintenance.  Aaron grew up and currently lives in Fergus Falls MN. Prior to joining the year-round staff Aaron got a certificate in carpentry from MSCTC in Moorhead and worked in construction for two years.  Aaron enjoys watching football, kayaking and having a conversation over a good cup of coffee.

Seth Kinrade
Marketing & Administration Director

Seth joined the year-round staff in September 2010 as the Marketing and Administration Director. His responsibilities are in the areas of office administration, marketing, communications, brand management and sales. Before joining the year-round staff, Seth served on summer staff for five years.

Seth grew up in DeWitt, Iowa and  graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Seth has a degree in Leisure, Youth and Human Services with an emphasis in Youth Services and Non-profit Administration. Seth and his wife, Sarah, have one daughter, Nora, and often have foster children in their home. Sarah is a thrid grade teacher in Fergus Falls.

Mitch Nickolauson
Site and Facilities Assistant

Mitch joined the year-round staff in September of 2013 after completing, CheckPoint, Inspiration Point’s leadership and ministry training program. Mitch grew up in Bismarck, ND and now lives on site at Inspiration Point. He is responsible for grounds keeping, snow removal, and general camp maintenance. Prior to joining the year-round staff, Mitch served 4 summers on summer staff. Mitch loves reading and fishing on Spitzer Lake.

Alison Olson
Office Manager/Registrar

Alison joined the Inspiration Point staff in August of 2013 as the Office Manager/Registrar. Alison is responsible for camper registrations, communications with parents and guests and general office management. Alison and her husband, Andrew, live in Fergus Falls with their three daughters Amelia, Malorie, and Amari.

Amy Rogness
Day Camp

Amy grew up in South Dakota, but for twelve years called Fargo, ND “home”. She graduated from MSUM in Moorhead and for six years taught at Park Christian School. Amy loves life and that living it for God’s glory and renown is the ministry we all have. Students are a passion of hers and the opportunities She has had to be around them, and share in growing together in God’s Word, thrills her! Amy also enjoy sports, running, a good cup of coffee, reading an interesting book, being with her family and spending time with friends.

John Osmundson
Operations Director

John joined the year-round staff in January 2015. In August 2016 he took on the position of Operations Director. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of camp in order to maximize the ministry of Inspiration Point, including responsibilities in project planning and implementation, staff leadership, and working with IPoint’s many faithful volunteers. Though he still gets plenty of time to spend with campers and play guitar at campfire and teach, John loves being able to focus on behind the scenes work that helps campers have a great time. Before joining Inspiration Point full time, John served on summer staff for four years: one year on service corps., two years counseling, and one year on the program team.

John was raised in West Union, Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa with degrees in Economics and Political Science. He continues to cheer on the home-town Hawkeyes despite the move to Minnesota. In his down time, John enjoys watching and playing basketball, reading good books, board games with friends, cheering on his fantasy football team, and strumming guitar.

Cindy Rogness
Women and Family Ministries

Cindy Rogness joined the year-round staff as the Assistant Program Director in August 2011.  Cindy and her husband Tony came to us from Astoria, SD after spending 7 years as a high school teacher, coach, and volleyball official.  Prior to teaching, Cindy spent 10 years at home with their 3 children Joanna, Micah, & Allison.    

Cindy grew up on a dairy farm in Greenbush, MN, and graduated from Association Free Lutheran Bible School and Crown College.  She received her BA in K-12 Physical Education/Health Education.  She loves supporting/encouraging her children in their activities, family time, reading, gardening, & quilting; most of all, she loves to engage in good conversation. 

For over 15 years, Cindy and her husband were volunteer youth leaders at Blom Prairie Lutheran Brethren Church. She is looking forward to continuing her work with young adults here at The Point.  Cindy loves to see God working in the hearts of His people drawing them closer to Him and growing them in their faith.

Tony Rogness
CheckPoint Director

Tony joined the year-round staff at The Point in August 2011. He is excited to be at Inspiration Point where his love for teaching, connecting with people and the outdoors can all be used for the Lord in ministry. 

Tony grew up on a dairy farm in eastern South Dakota and enjoys staying connected to his “farm boy” roots. He graduated from Lutheran Brethren Bible College in 1983 and received his bachelor’s degree in History/Secondary Education from Crown College in 1990. He spent the next 21 years as a teacher in Minnesota and South Dakota. He holds advanced degrees from South Dakota State University and the University of South Dakota. He spent 12 years of his teaching career as professor of Teacher Education at SDSU.

Tony and his wife Cindy have three children, Joanna, Micah and Allison, and his free time is often spent with them. He is an avid sports fan and has had the opportunity to coach and officiate football, basketball, baseball and softball. His favorite sport is whichever one his kids are involved in at the time.

AJ Smith
Business Manager

AJ joined the year-round staff in September of 2015, serving in the role of Business Manager. His responsibilities include helping Inspiration Point achieve optimal stewardship of its financial resources, as well as performing many human resource functions. Prior to joining year-round staff, AJ served on summer staff for four years: one year on service corps., two years counseling, and one year as waterfront supervisor.


AJ grew up in Le Sueur, Minnesota and has a B.A. in Finance from North Dakota State University. He and his wife, Elise, live in Fergus Falls, MN. AJ enjoys playing and watching sports, spending time with his family and friends, reading a good book, and spending time outdoors.

Lindsey Thomas
Food Service Director

Lindsey Thomas joined the Inspiration Point staff in August of 2012. As the food service director, she will be overseeing the preparation of all meals served at camp. Before coming to Inspiration Point, Lindsey worked at Agape Boarding School as kitchen manager, and also on the culinary staff at the Keeter Center in Branson, MO.

Lindsey was raised in Stockton, MO and attended the College of the Ozarks in Branson, MO. There she received her bachelor’s degree in culinary arts. Lindsey loves cooking for others and hopes that through the table, community is formed.

In her free time, Lindsey enjoys sewing, reading, gardening, and watching sci-fi. She also likes to experiment new recipes on unsuspecting house guests.
