2014 Year-End Giving
When you think about it, there aren’t many places around like Inspiration Point where: an 8th-grader says, “This camp is awesome because it gives me a better understanding of God in a great atmosphere.”… a 7th-grader realizes, “I figured out there are no more ‘what-ifs.’ God is real and he loves me.”… a 10th-grader testifies, “Inspiration Point is one of the greatest places I’ve ever been. I’ve never met so many friends, learned so much, or had as much fun as I did this week.”…an 11th-grader declares, “This week was absolutely amazing and totally changed my life. Thank you for the best week of my summer.”… and the list goes on. It’s true. There aren’t many places like Inspiration Point.
In order to ensure that this vital ministry continues to provide top-quality camp and retreat experiences, it is critical that we invest in people and tools that make this possible. As one who has been touched by Inspiration Point in one way or another, will you please consider giving a gift this year? Our goal of raising a total of $46,150 focuses on the two areas described in this flyer: underwriting summer staff salaries, and providing improved winter recreation equipment for our guests to enjoy.
The Backbone of Camp
What makes Inspiration Point so unique? Ask any camper or guest and you’re likely to hear, “It’s the staff!” These are the folks who live with the campers, skillfully and humbly guiding them through their experiences at The Point. One camper wrote, “Camp is so great and fun. The best part, though, is being surrounded by an amazing Christian staff.” A parent commented, “Thank you for the wonderful training the staff receive and thank you to the staff for showing the love of Jesus in everything they do! Their love and enthusiasm doesn't go unnoticed!”
Indeed, these staffers leave camp at the end of the summer not wanting to imagine living a life that isn’t focused on serving others. They are convinced that God works in amazing ways in peoples’ lives because they’ve experienced it and witnessed it firsthand. Will you help Inspiration Point continue to hire and train young people who will not only impact thousands next summer, but will also influence their world in the years ahead? Our goal is to raise $41,000 to help subsidize the salaries of these exceptional young adults.
Not only are more people coming to camp in the summer, but thousands spend time at camp in the winter as well. We know that an important aspect of any camp experience is having fun together. The past few years we’ve improved our winter opportunities by adding a tubing hill and a gazebo with a fireplace. With your help, this year we would like to be able to purchase snow tubes for sliding on the hill, and a full range of rental-quality ice skates for our guests to use on our beautiful lighted ice rink. $5,150 will make it happen!

Beyond the Point
“Working at camp we were taught, ‘Remember Whose you are and Whom you represent.’ That quote is now on a chalkboard in the entryway of our home and I will never forget it. It’s a great charge that was true for this camp counselor 15 years ago and still is now for a wife and mom to four future campers. I’m so thankful for the summers I was blessed to work at camp. I learned so many things and met some amazing friends that have helped shape me in huge ways.” (Alissa Nelson of Fargo, ND)
