NAVIGATOR 1 & L41 KICKOFF!

June 11, 2024

On Sunday afternoon, we welcomed a wonderful crew of 174 Navigators (6th-8th grade) and 21 L4 leaders (11th grade-1st year college)! This group has brought a LOT of life and joy to IPoint from the moment they stepped foot on our grounds.  On Sunday afternoon, campers got moved into their cabins and gathered together to hear an introduction to our summer theme, "THE BIG PICTURE."  At the first gathering, campers also found out who their cabin leader would be for the week.  After meeting their groups, each cabin began a time called "whirlwind."  The purpose of this time is to become acquainted with one other, to set up the week, to create a cabin song together and to enjoy delicious build-your-own-pizzas!

Following whirlwind, the group gathered together to take an all-camp photo.  That was a fun sight to see - we are so grateful to have a FULL week at camp!  Next, campers joined together in the White Oak Room for HOOTENANNY, a Sunday IPoint tradition.  Every cabin had a moment on stage to share their cabin song.  This time always builds camaraderie between the group & is simply a joy to watch!  Once the cabin song contest concluded, campers learned the very first theme verse for the week, John 20:31.

"These words are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing, you may have life in His name." John 20:31

We closed Sunday night in a traditional camp fashion - singing around the campfire.  Hearing over 200 total students singing praises to the King was a true BLESSING!
