EXPLORER 3 - Sunday Night Recap

Another Sunday means another new group of campers at IPoint... and welcoming our Explorer 3 friends was full of celebration and joy!
This week, we have our L4 leaders back to team up with our IPoint Cabin Leaders, which means that almost every cabin is able to have two godly roles models setting an example for campers all week long. We are so grateful to be partnering with these high school students!
Each Sunday, our staff aim to make each individual camper feel seen and cared for, especially as they first arrive. Our whole registration process is set up so that many different staff learn each camper's name and spend time interacting with them. Campers are brought to their rooms by a staff member who immediately gets to know and takes interest in them!
Once registration comes to a close, all of our campers and staff met together at Hillside. We shared a skit that included confetti poppers, music, dancing, and bubble blowing machines! This group of campers was not hesitant to join the staff in their REJOICING! Campers were called down to meet their cabin leaders & L4 leaders, and those connections began immediately. Each cabin spent a few hours getting to know the ins & outs of camp. They stopped by the pool, made their own pizzas, talked about expectations for the week, and created a cabin song together. Next, we took our all-camp photo, which was followed by HOOTENANNY - a favorite tradition at IPoint. At Hootenanny, the theme for the week was introduced and the cabin song contest took place! There was SO much laughter and joy filling the White Oak Room from beginning to end! We ended our night at campfire with a short time of singing and setting up for the week - that first campfire tends to leave the campers wanting more!
Stay tuned throughout the week to hear more updates and see photos of what your camper is up to!
