Explorer 1/Navigator 1/L4 1 - Midweek Update

This week has been filled with a whole lot of laughter and joy with our Explorer 1, Navigator 1, and L41 campers! As everyone settles into their routine at camp, these campers have been finding a community, getting outside of their comfort zones, and learning all about the King of Kings! At campfire on Monday night, with all the groups together, campers expressed what they found to be a blessing here at camp. Some shared about the food, others shared about making new friends, and some shared simply about their enjoyment in being at camp! It has been a JOY to see friendships begin, hear laughter all day long, and to share testimonies of ways that God is at work in the hearts of both the campers and cabin leaders!

One of the most special nights of the week was Monday night, where students got participate in the Theme Meal! Outside on the lawn, there was a medieval village with food booths, jousting yard games, a puppet show, and characters to interact with. Each cabin dressed in their matching medieval costumes and had a blast roaming around the village playing their part in the kingdom! After dinner, each cabin went on their very own quest to find the dessert ingredients which the jester had stolen! Let's just say that the campers played their roles very well and found SO much joy in it!

To add to the fun this week, Explorers got to play blacklight dodgeball in the Barn, and Navigators split into teams for Capture the King! With all of the exciting activities, it has also been a blessing to have Michael Levang here speaking at our worship times and also spending time in conversation with campers! The rest of the week will be packed with many more Bible studies about the Kingdom of God and our role in it! Campers will continue to work together in Adventure Course, play some fun games, experience the Christ Hike, and many more exciting things!
