Navigator 4 kicked off yesterday and we welcomed 223 6th-8th graders to IPoint! This specific age group is SO MUCH FUN. They bring lots of energy, lots of questions, and plenty of eagerness for what the week will hold!  Sunday afternoon brought beautiful weather for the beginning of camp.  Students checked in, found their cabin, and spent some initial time at the recreation area playing 9-Square, octaball and volleyball.  Each camper is immediately met by a staff member who gives them a mini-tour of camp and helps them find their room.  We find that this initial interaction can bring confidence to the camper that they'll be taken care of all week long!

The week officially began at Hillisde as campers gathered for a skit, a t-shirt giveaway, and introductions of each cabin group.  As cabins met one another, they had the chance to spend time getting acquainted.  Our Sunday night meal is ALWAYS build-your-own-pizza, which proved to be a hit once again!

Hootenanny, which is our evening cabin song competition, was an absolute blast with this crew! The groups have the opportunity to bond right away over the creation of their song.  Seeing the creativity amongst the group was a highlight of the evening!  After the competition finished, our speaker for the week, Sawyer Brunkow, introduced himself and gave a sneak peek into what he will be sharing from God's Word.

We closed out the night as we always do, down at the campfire, which never disappoints!  After spending the first few hours with Navigator 4, we can't wait to see what the week will hold!
