POSITION OVERVIEW

This person is a key individual, performing the financial and many human resource functions of the organization. This individual should possess a vital, growing relationship with God, as well as a desire and calling to serve Christ through ministering to guests, coworkers, and others at Inspiration Point. This person must also possess solid administrative skills, integrity, financial acumen, and an outstanding ability to work directly with people. This person should be in full agreement with the values (listed above), goals and purposes of Inspiration Point and be dedicated to excellence in the workplace for the sake of Inspiration Point and its guests. It is expected that a typical workweek will be 8:30AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday, from September through May. During the summer season, the work schedule may shift to reflect summer rhythms. This full-time, salaried position reports to the Camp Director and is an exempt position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent life experience.

2. Responsible, with a team attitude and commitment to organization, accuracy, excellence, and appropriate confidentiality.

3. Exhibit pleasant and personable behavior toward people of all ages.

4. Proficient knowledge and ability for writing, bookkeeping, keyboarding, and computer skills — particularly Microsoft applications and QuickBooks.

5. Experience at camp is desirable.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources

  • Administration for staff employment agreements, employee files, lease agreements, and information delivery to summer and year-round staff.
  • Manage employee benefits and information contained in Employee Manual for year-round staff.

Finance

  • Help Inspiration Point to achieve optimal stewardship of its financial resources.
  • Coordinate receiving, tracking, monitoring, depositing, and reporting of all funds.
  • With the Camp Director, develop annual budgets and pricing schedules.
  • Manage payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Track, record, and receipt donations (monetary, gifts in kind, and goods).
  • Provide for monthly financial account reconciliations, year-end closing, and timely internal and external reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations and reporting (taxes, payroll reports, etc.).

Other

  • Meet bi-weekly with Camp Director for planning and review.
  • Oversee insurance coverage & manage worker's compensation reporting.
  • Minister to guests & donors in word and deed, so that people are cared for and encouraged, and have opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel and the hope it offers.
  • Support other areas of camp, such as program and operations, as needed.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Inspiration Point will provide a salary based on person's experience and education, housing may be provided, and meals are provided when they are provided to guests. Health, retirement, and vacation benefits associated with full-time employment will be provided at the levels laid forth in Inspiration Point's generous benefits policy.
